Because sometimes NOT being anonymous can make things difficult

ABOUT US

This is an Internet based service that was born out of necessity.

I like to believe that I am friends with every musician that has every played in my band including the ones that were just substituting. I never want to be mean or hurt anyone's feelings if I can help it.

Let's face it running a band is running a business and if you aspire to do anything more than play in the garage and drink Generic Beer, you have to manage and sometimes that means you need to replace someone. Sometimes it's a mutually agreeable situation, other times it can be messy.

The Bandmail.Us Service is for those potentially messy situations when it would be best for all if the party being replaced didn't know it until you could inform him (or her) at an appropriate time.

I get that all of this may seem a bit underhanded, but it has been my experience that some guys that know they are about to be history, either fail to show up at gigs or play awful or get drunk and make the whole band look like pond scum. Sad, but it happens. You need to protect your band and its reputation.

The Bandmail.Us Service helps protect your band by protecting your anonymity. A Bandmail.Us email account allows you to search for that perfect replacement without your exiting member easily finding out.

IT WORKS LIKE THIS:

You can place an ad on Craig's list and they will assign you an anonymous email address like jxcnhkjsguh098r97580472850704875@craigslist.com and as bad as that looks, it's still a good idea. The problem is, there are many band related web sites out there that will allow you to advertise free for band members, but they don't go through the trouble of providing an anonymous email address.

When you get your Bandmail.Us email address, you can post it into any ad including your Craig's List ad and keep your identity relatively safe.

A Bandmail.Us email address also tells a potential new band member that you are serious about your band and your band business. It says that you care enough not to place your other bandmates in a precarious situation by prematurely telling the exiting member or otherwise letting him find out. It says you care about your band and try to protect it and your fellow band members.

We're always happy to answer your questions - support@bandmail.us.

Bandmail.Us - It's just a smart way to go!
